On Zee Bangla Channel No.1 didi na dada - Zee Bangla" game show, Thomas Chen wore Dhuti Paanjaabi (traditional Bengali Costume) and became Tapas Sen ^_^

Colours of the Evening – After the speeches from distinguishing guests, Popular Performer and Singer of Kolkata Mr. Thomas Chen simply fired up the stage by singing a very popular song called Méihuā (Famous song is sung by Teresa Teng and “Méihuā” is the national flower of China) along with ICA’s Dance troupe.

 

Again Thomas Chen took the stage and sung a Chinese song “Wen Bie” originally sung by Zhang Xue You (Jacky Cheung), and later on made popular by MLTR – “Take me to your Heart“. He sung both the version so well, Chinese and English........"

 

Thomas Chen took the stage next with his opening song Méihuā accompanied by Fan Dance Group. This is a very popular song originally sung by Teresa Teng.

 

Next was something really sweet, young children took to the stage and performed New Year song. Thomas Chen was seen directing these children from opposite side of the stage.

 

It was now turn for Thomas Chen along with Irene Meghani and small children to turn up the beat with some sizzling Bolywood numbers.

Article about Kolkata's "First Dragon Boat Festival"

 

".....It was a rainy day, so I was wondering how many people will actually turn up. The rain stopped around 5PM just before the event started and when I reached the spot, it was jam packed. Thomas Chen was dishing out popular Chinese, Hindi, Bengali and English songs from the stage and crowd enjoying them along with the delicious food from the stalls, which were set up on both sides of the road. Reaching the food stalls were almost impossible at that time, and as I am familiar with most of the items, I decided to try and take some shots first....."

In Kolkata, this event was held for the first time on a medium scale around Old China Town (Tiretti Bazar) by Indian Chinese Association in partnership with t2 , 91.9 Friends FM ,iLead , Chitpur local and Calcutta Walks. The event kicked off at 5 in the evening till 10 pm and observed a huge response by the visitors from all around the city. There were several dance performances and Chinese songs in the podium by the locals but the main attraction was the Chinese Lion Dance. The use of Chinese lamps gave it a feeling of being in China....."

Children performing the song "圆圆的月亮…The round moon" our FIRST SINGLE during Christmas Carnival at Allen Park on 21st Cecember 2014, gets a mention in the leading newspaper - The Times Of India on the next day, 22nd Dec'14 along side famous kolkata band Krosswindz.

It was extremely generous of krosswindz front man Mr. Banerjee to say such good words about the children. The children performed twice on his request.
